“My interpretation of the world and my experiences within it are what I bring to the studio,
yet it is often the individual lens through which others view my finished work that fuels me.”

For me, art is a form of communication—one that requires both courage and humility to express. No matter the series or theme I am exploring, my understanding of composition and the medium guides my first few strokes. Then, an organic evolution unfolds, requiring me to surrender control in a way that is both freeing and terrifying. Many times, I work with the stark white of the canvas, leaving areas untouched as a nod to preserving a hint of nature's rawness. The painted and unpainted areas become a vital component of the overall work, and I find this intriguing tension is best seen when engaging with each piece up close. Music is essential to my creative process, and the energy I feel from it directly influences my hand when I paint. Finally, when the brush has been put down for the last time, the work needs to hold my attention. If it does, I call it complete. If not, that's when the humility returns, until I am ready to visit the canvas again.

Let’s create something.
